Marsh Hailer Double Reed Duck Call
The Marsh Hailer is a double reed duck call made with a walnut barrel and a vocal tube made from maple that has been dyed black. The call produces some nice sharp loud quacks and highball calls for hunting over open water. But will also produce some softer feeder calls and quacks to pull the ducks in closer. This call is also an easy to use call well suited for the beginner but can also perform well for the experienced hunter.

Making the Marsh Hailer was a natural progression after developing the Swamp Talker single reed. Finding the right length of barrel proved to be the hard part of making these calls. Before assembing and tuning the calls I put a small dimple in the top reed to assure they don't freeze up in cold weather.
